STOW/BARBERTON---Elsie M. Kirkendall, 90, passed away October 18, 2016.

Elsie was born in Pittsburgh and had been an area resident most of her life. She retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co after 30 years of service. After retirement her and her husband George A. moved to Florida and enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.  She was currently a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow and was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Barberton where she was very active with and a Past President of the PTA. 

Preceded in death by her husband George; and sisters Betty, Jean and Leona; She is survived by her sons David (Susan) and Russ (Cathy); grandson Daniel; brother William Parks; sisters Florence Levkus and Sylvia Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. James Maloney celebrant. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
