Margaret J. Genet (Ligas)

WADSWORTH---Margaret J. Genet, 85, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2016 at Pine Valley Care Center.

Margaret was born in Barberton and had been an area resident all her life where she was an LPN for over 15 years. She was a fantastic seamstress and enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, skiing and woodworking.

Preceded in death by her parents Fred and Bertha Genet; son Christopher Ligas; and daughter Karen Bechdel; she is survived by her children Peter Ligas, Michael (Barb) Ligas, Susan (Andrew) Ligas, Kathy (Karl) Koppes, Ben (Sherri) Ligas, Frank (Jean) Ligas and Beth (Dave) Douglas; 58 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; ex-husband Peter Ligas;  brother Joe (Margaret) Genet; sister Felecia Turner; and sister-in-law Jean Genet.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.  Calling Hours Tuesday from 5-8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barberton Area Community Ministries (BACM), 939 Norton Ave., Barberton, 44203.
