BARBERTON--Nick Mackay, 87, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017.

Nick was a life resident of Barberton and retired from The State of Ohio-Bureau of Motor Vehicles. He also owned the Manchester Rd. Market with his brother. Nick was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and a proud US Army Veteran. He loved football and was a former trainer for Barberton High School and worked in the Press Box at Kent St. Nick also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Preceded in death by his parents Karl and Julia; and sister Leona; He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Burdeen; daughters Judi (Ross) Vukovich of North Canton and Jody (Joe) Pagonakis of Medina; grandchildren R.J. (fiancé Danielle) and Taylor (Joe) Koch; and brother Mike Mackay.

Nick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to everyone he met.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 E. Robinson Ave, Barberton, where the body will Lie in State One Hour Prior to the service. Fr. Miron Kerul-Kmec officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, followed by Parastas at 7:00 P.M.
