Dear Yvonne and family, We have very fond memories of the first time we met Dick at the Slovene several years ago; I took my mom Frances King, to listen to Polka music downstairs. We had heard how much fun it was, and on our very first time there, Dick & Yvonne came up to welcome us and were so friendly and warm! Mom loved the people there and the great music, and I feel honored to have had a few times to dance with the best dancer there, Dick ! Thank you for wonderful memories, and may God Bless you with His grace in the days ahead ; I truly understand how you feel, and will say prayers for both of us; having lost our soulmates just a few weeks apart<3

My deepest condolence to the entire family. I have such fond child hood memories of Mr. Simons always tossing a baseball, football or Basketball with all of us kids in the side yard! He would offer sports tips but more importantly antidotal life tips whether it was a historical view or analysis on history or life. He was a role model for us all growing up on being a Father and mentor.

I had the honor or working with Dick. He was a mentor, friend, and a solid union member. Dick was our local branch secretary-treasurer for more years then I remember. He stood by me and guided me when I became the branch president. Dick was what being a union member was. He never waivered from his commitment to the Postal Service nor his commitment to the union membership. He always was willing to help new employees with the correct way of performing their duties, and was always there to represent them when needed. If only the current generation of carriers went about their commitments as Dick did it would be a better Postal Service. Rest In Peace Dick , you just made your last delivery!
