NORTON---Angeline Jursik (nee Cornacchione), 88, passed away October 4, 2018 at Altercare of Wadsworth from a battle with AML Leukemia.
Born in Sebring, Ohio, Angie lived the last 60 years in Norton, Ohio and retired from P.P.G. in 1986. She was a graduate of the Barberton High School Class of 1948 where she was Homecoming Queen for the only Barberton High School Football State Champions. Angie was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church for 60 years and now a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and a member of St. Anne’s Society, lay minister/commentator for Sts. Cyril & Methodius and St. Augustine Catholic Churches where she worked with the “Martha’s”. She also sang in the church choirs. Angie was Ms. Columbia Southern in 1953.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander William (Bill); parents Nicola and Josephine; brothers Patsy and Joseph; and sisters Eleanore Lutz & Lucille Canfora. She is survived by her sons Gregory (Lisa) of Barberton, Jeffrey of Moultrie, GA, Brion of Norton and Brett of Doylestown; sisters Mary Ebaugh and Margaret Ford; grandchildren Shaun, Christopher, Jason, Cory, Anna, Ryan and Alex; and 13 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 – 6th St. N.W. Barberton. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the SILVA – HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton .In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
