BARBERTON---Carroll G. Barrickman, 87, passed away November 8, 2018.
Carroll was born in Millcreek, W. VA and had been a Barberton resident most of his life where he retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. after 22 years of service. In his retirement he volunteered as a poll worker in Barberton and was a crossing guard for the Barberton Schools for many years. He was a member of Masonic National Lodge 568, Barberton Moose Lodge 759 and Slovak Catholic Sokol Assembly 167. Carroll was also a proud Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War. He will always be known as a humble and caring man.
Preceded in death by his wife Laverna; and granddaughter Adrienne; Survivors include his daughters Dora (John) Winkler of Norton and Kelly (Keith) McGinnis of South Carolina; and grandchildren Adam Winkler, Abby (Jon) Varley, Alan Winkler and Brandon (Jess) McGinnis.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Graveside Services on Wednesday at 12:30 P.M. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Rev. Rod Grabski officiating. Procession to form at the funeral home at 11:45 A.M.
