As a patrolman, I knew Greg (and worked with his cousin) but I spent more time "chewing the fat" while we both worked part time at PPG Mine for Norton Security. I remember when Kathy's mother passed away and the directors at Hummel Funeral homes advised me that Greg had refused to be paid for the funeral escort he drove, stating she was family of one of his troops. The family remarked how nice that was and even though it was a small thing at that time, it displayed the mark of a high class person.
