Sending my prayerful, heartfelt sympathy. I regret that I was unable to concelebrate the Mass for Greg. I will keep all of you in my Masses, prayers and heart. God bless, strengthen, comfort and console each of you and give Greg all the joys of our heavenly home.

As a patrolman, I knew Greg (and worked with his cousin) but I spent more time "chewing the fat" while we both worked part time at PPG Mine for Norton Security. He loved his family and spoke of them constantly (when we weren't swapping stories). Prayers to his family and friends. R.I.P. Brother Maurer.

I have known Greg from kindergarten..he was a truly nice person. We had great times in high school..cruising the Varsity and all the hang-outs. He was a great guy who made everyone laugh and feel comfortable. RIP my friend. Thank you for your service to our communities. Sincere Sympathy to Pam and all who loved you.

Our sincere condolences to you, Pam, and your family. Greg was a great guy and we're sure you have some great memories. I remember when Kathy's mother passed away and the directors at Hummel Funeral homes advised me that Greg had refused to be paid for the funeral escort he drove, stating she was family of one of his troops. The family remarked how nice that was and even though it was a small thing at that time, it displayed the mark of a high class person.
