BARBERTON---Marguerite R. Brigley (Boissett), loving wife and mother, passed away after a long illness on September 30, 2018 at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. Marguerite, also called Midge, was born and lived in Barberton, Ohio. After graduating from Barberton High School in 1947, she danced professionally in New York, Chicago and throughout the country in a chorus line known as the Roxiettes. She met a jockey named Ronald, married, and returned to Barberton to raise a family. She was an avid golfer and bowler and made many treasured friends over the years. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Norton, Ohio. Midge volunteered with her sister at the Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, Ohio and was an election official for Summit County Board of Elections for many years. Many local people knew her from the daily walks she took throughout the neighborhood. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ronald, and children Ronald Brigley, Jacqueline Konich, Sandra Taylor and Heather Jennings, Cynthia McClanahan, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Midge was preceded in death by her parents George and Wilma (Fahir) Boissett, Rose Marie Cummins and her youngest son, Douglas. Above all, Midge cherished her family and was a role-model for her children throughout her life. Her love of family and friends was demonstrated each and every day. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Special thanks to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. James Maloney celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center at 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
