Ada J. (Barker) Mcqueeney

Ada Justina McQueeney (Barker), 62, went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2022 after a long fight with diabetes, kidney & heart failure.   Ada was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 21, 1960.  She was raised by her loving parents Robert and Madeline Barker.  She married the love of his life, Michael McQueeney, September 5, 1981. The couple moved to Rittman where they spent most of their 40 beautiful years together until Mike’s passing earlier this year.  Ada loved spending time with her husband and family, especially her grandchildren. She spent much of her down time "at the lake" with Mike just relaxing and treasure hunting at flea markets and antique malls. In addition to her loving husband, Ada is preceded in death by her mother Madeline Barker, father and mother-in law Lyle and Nada McQueeney, sister and brother’s in Law Leanna and David McQueeney and Paul Poling, and granddaughter Analeigh Hevener. She is survived by her father Robert Barker, daughters, Melinda (Jamie) Hevener and Christin (Travis) McGlothlin; grandchildren, Alivia, Allyson, Addyson, Alexys, Theodore, Gwendolyn, Elijah, and Michael, sisters Pam (Don) Doss, Sunnie Bolen, brother Paul (Barb) Smith and “Sister” Darla (Bill) Kerns. Ada's Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home. Pastor Josh Eatmon officiating. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service.
