Alfred B. Cruthers

BARBERTON---Alfred B. Cruthers, 83, passed away December 9, 2013 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born in Cleveland, Al was a life resident of Barberton where he retired from Reiter Dairy after 38 years of service. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Barberton and was a proud Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his son Kenneth; brother Robert; and sister Beverly Hanovich; Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Sharma; daughters Amy Jo (Blake) Williamson of Ashland and Melissa Ann (Patrick) Hoyle of Moore, Oklahoma; grandchildren Daniel, Jared, Carly, Ericka, Lenox, Jessica, Kirstin and Shannon; great-grandchildren Sophia and Audrey Ott, Cheynne Adkins, Mia Williamson, Ashton Griffiths and two more boys on the way; and nephew Donnie Gowe. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Pastor Erik Swanson officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
