BARBERTON---Andrew Milan Valovcik, 84, passed away March 29, 2011 at his residence. Andy was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from Ohio Brass after 40 years of service and Logan Machine Co. after 8 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus 1617 and Slovak Catholic Sokols. Andy was also a proud Navy Veteran having served during WWII. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Anna; sisters Mary Omalar, Betty Mattingly, Pauline Valovcik and Anna Lazar; Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Lili; son James (Judy) of Stow; daughter Catherine Valovcik of Barberton; stepsons Frank (Coleen) Spetich Jr. of Barberton and Michael (Debra) Spetich of Canton; stepdaughter Judy (Patrick) Pramik of Barberton; grandchildren Steven (Natalie) Coburn, Kristen (Bobby) Herold, Keith Spetich (Elana), Melissa Spetich, Frank (Kim) Spetich and Scott Spetich; and great-grandchildren Katie and Grace Coburn and Madison Spetich. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011, 1 P.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Clinton. Calling Hours Friday from 6-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Saturday at 12:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the St. Augustine Capital Fund.
