Ann M. Casto

BARBERTON---Ann M. Casto, 79, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 at The Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth.

Ann was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and worked at Sieberling Tire and Rubber and retired from the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she was active in the Holy Hour Program. Ann also enjoyed crafting. Every day was a fashion show day with Ann. Her affection for clothes made every day and every outing a unique experience.  J Crew will truly miss her!  There’s no one with a heart as big as hers. She was such a caring sister and friend who would do anything for anyone with open arms.  Holidays and anyone’s “special day” were truly exclusive and one of kind providing a lifetime of memories with decorations, goodie bags and more she would make with her Silhouette machine.  No two days were ever the same!

Preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Rose; aunt and uncle Mary and Glenn Felger; brother-in-law Bill Finn; and close friend Fred Dorais; She is survived by her brothers Tom (Mary June) Casto and Tim Casto; sisters Joan (Thomas) Martin, Rosemary Finn, Kathy (Thomas) Farr, Sue (Steve) Richards and Laurie (Thomas) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW, Barberton. There will be no calling hours. Private burial at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Endowment Trust Fund.
