BARBERTON---Anthony L. Lukezic, 87, passed away July 6, 2011.

Tony was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from P.P.G. Industries after 42 years of service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4028 where he was a past Grand Knight, K.S.K.J., Holy Name Society, United Fellowship, Slovene Hunt Club, Domovina Lodge where he was a past president and also was the Slovene Man of the year in 2004. Tony was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and building and remodeling houses. Tony was also a proud Navy Veteran having served during WWII.

Preceded in death his wife Jennie; brother Joseph; and sisters Molly Glynn and Mildred Videgar; Survivors include his children Anthony (Peggy) of St. Charles, MO, Priscilla (George) Skleres of Jefferson, OH, Edward (Laura) of Norton, David (Luann) of Doylestown and Michael of Barberton; grandchildren Leslie and Brooke Lukezic, Nicolle and Eric Lukezic, Ed Swiger, Wendy Fluharty, Rick Swiger, John Skleres and Ali Rutz; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters Christine Zalar and Jennie Zupec both of Barberton; sister-in-laws Polly Valencheck and Millie Kostantinovich; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Doylestown Health Care Center for their care and also Tony's youngest son Michael for his special care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said on Saturday at 9:30 A.M.
