Anthony J. Plucinski, 78, passed away on May 7, 2025 in Akron, Ohio.
He was born on October 2, 1946 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a long and steady career at Ford Motor Company before retiring.
Anthony was a devoted father to his son Michael (Debbie) and daughter Sherry. He was also a cherished grandfather to Tara, Tylor (Jamie), Taner, Brandon (Valerie) and Justin (Lana) and a proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his siblings Donnie, Kathy and Joey (Nancy). He was preceded in death by his parents Sigmun and Angie.
A man of many interests, Anthony enjoyed golfing, tending to his yard and had a deep appreciation for comic art. Known for his humor, charm and occasional stubborn streak, he was above all a family man whose presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, where he found spiritual grounding throughout his life.

Anthony’s Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. There will be no service and private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
