Arthur Toth Jr., 94, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2026, surrounded by family., bravely battled cancer for nearly a year.
Born February 23, 1932, Art was a lifelong resident of Barberton, Ohio, and member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Barberton High School.
Art attended John Carroll University before entering the United States Air Force. After leaving, he took over his father's business, Art’s Cafe, where he worked until his retirement in 1995, the year he lost his wife to leukemia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Toth, Sr., mother, Anna (nee Stanko), sisters Mary Kusnir and Blanche Eversdyk, beloved wife, Ruthann (nee Vatilla), and infant grandson Jonathan Duskey.
Art leaves behind five children, Arthur III (Janet), Kathleen Duskey (Richard), Patricia, Mark (Michelle), and Michael.
He was grandfather to Artie Toth, Lindsey Toth Greene, Rick Duskey (Kristen), Dan Duskey, Brian Duskey, Jami Gilbert (Stephen), Jackie Toth, Matthew and Harrison Toth, and Olivia Toth.
Art was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren, Quin, Veda, and Jesse Toth, Aidan, Liam, Annabelle, and Isla Toth Greene, Ricky Duskey, Zoey Thomas, Gage, Graham and Lucy Gilbert.
Family and time-honored family traditions were always most important to Art. He believed in hard work, family and faith. He also enjoyed gardening, golf, fishing and hunting. He was a talented woodworker and artist, leaving behind dozens of his beautiful creations he gifted to family and friends or to adorn the house he called home for 70 years.
Art has been cremated, and a private family burial will take place.
