BARBERTON---Augusta A. Heim, 95, passed away March 10, 2011 at Pleasant View Health Care Center. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was a life resident of the Barberton area where she retired from the Summit County Probate Court as a Deputy Clerk after 20 years of service. Augusta was a member of the former S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church where she was a founder of St. Anne's Society in 1941. She was also a member of the rosary society, Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath 103 and currently a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph; sister Mary Evans; and brothers Al and Emil Hanic; Survivors include her daughter JoAnn (John) Sveda of Barberton; son Stephen (Vivian) Heim of Akron; grandsons Stephen (Amhee), Bradley (Vanessa) and Scott (Christy) Heim; seven great-grandchildren; brother Edward Hanic; sister Lillian Hazlett of Barberton both of Barberton; and sister-in-law Camilla Heim of Canton. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Pleasant Pointe Assisted Living, Pleasant View Health Care and Barberton Hospice and Palliative Care.Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron, 44319. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday from 5-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rosary at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the capital fund at St. Francis Church.
