Bernice J. Michaelson

BARBERTON---Bernice J. Michaelson, 79, passed away January 24, 2014 at Akron City Hospital.


Bernice was born in Akron and had been an area resident all her life where she retired from Norton Elementary after 33 years of service as a kindergarten teacher. She was an avid figure skater and member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Bernice also loved traveling and her cats.


Preceded in death by her first husband William E. Graham; second husband Joseph Michaelson Jr.; parents Luther and Edith Moore; and brother Denny Moore; Survivors include her daughter Denise (Floyd) Parsson; son Ed (Kay) Graham; grandchildren Richard, Denny and Lori Parsson; Jay (Erica) Graham and Luke Graham; and great-grandson Liam Graham.


Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Kevin Schwiger officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
