BARBERTON---Betty Lamarr Stenger Frankovich passed away on June 27, 2012 at Pleasant View Health Care Center. She was born on June 30, 1926 to Lester and Anna and had been a resident of Barberton for over 85 years. She graduated from Barberton High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Church, participating in their Holy Hour Program for 20 years. Left to cherish her memory are son J.P. (Deb) of Texas, daughter-in-law Barb of Texas, and grandchildren Katie, Kent, Jill and Scott, sister Alice Jovanov (Rudy) of Barberton, sister in-law Joanne Stenger of Cleveland and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by beloved husband John, brother George Stenger and son Jim. Betty worked for many years at First National Bank, where she greeted everyone with a smile. In earlier years, she was a talented bowler and loved to golf. She also enjoyed gardening, Ceramic Classes and Silver Sneakers. She loved her group trips and visiting her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind dear friends from High School who had a Card Club for 68 years and still met regularly. She also had a regular card game with her closest friends on Saturday nights. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Pleasant View, Summa Hospital Barberton and especially Alice, for your loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 2, 2012, 10 A.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 6th St. NW, Barberton, Fr. Michael B. Smith celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Callings Hours Sunday 6pm, to 8pm at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Monday at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923, in memory of Jim Frankovich.
