BARBERTON---William "Billy" A. Stopar Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2010. Born in Barberton, he had been a Norton resident all his life where he worked at Seiberling Tire and Rubber Co., and at Joyce Vending Service for the past 16 years. He was a graduate of Norton High School and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years. Billy was also a member of K.S.K.J Lodge 110 and an avid bowler at the Slovene Center for many years. Billy especially loved the Cleveland Indians and Norton High School Basketball. Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Diane; son Travis; parents Bill and Wilma of Norton; brothers Rick (Becky) of Barberton, Gary (Monica) of Georgia and Jeff (Jennifer) of Perrysburg; sister Cheryl (Mike) Tokes of Norton; mother-in-law Lorene Struckel; sister-in-law Laurie Struckel; brother-in-law Tim (Renee) Struckel all of Barberton; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend "Blossom". Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010, 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 4-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. In Billy's honor the family suggests you wear Cleveland Indians clothing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
