Bradley "Marty" Fox

February 19, 1961 — September 17, 2021

Barberton

BARBERTON---Bradley “Marty” Fox, 60, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 surrounded by his family after a sudden hemorrhagic stroke on August 27. Brad never did anything small. There will never be enough room in the newspaper to describe his life, love, and personality. He was the type of person who has a friend on every corner. He truly saw the best in and got the best out of everyone he met. Brad gave advice and pep talks that made you feel like you could accomplish anything. If he didn’t have the answer, he “had a guy.” Even on the worst of days, he could always make you laugh. Born February 19, 1961 to Phyllis and Craig Fox, Marty grew up with his sisters, Terri (Dave) Ault and Toni (John) Carpas, and brother, Craig Jr. (Beth). Brad was a life-long Barberton Magic and 1979 graduate of BHS where he played football and baseball. Travel softball was a major part of his life after high school and he was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 1997. Brad loved coaching the Barberton Nomads for several years and founded the Robert A. Krska Memorial Baseball Tournament and Scholarship in honor of his life-long friend, Bob. An avid sports fan, you could spot Brad at any high school game. First in CMHA and then in Medina, Brad served as a police officer. Before finishing his career in 2009, he was the school resource officer at Medina High School and a NASRO instructor country-wide. In his words, Brad’s greatest accomplishments were his three children, Brittany, Morgan (Josh) Redies, and Corey (Bruna), who he raised with his loving wife of 36 years and high school sweetheart, Rene’e. If you attended anything that his kids were a part of, you knew Brad. He never missed a second and was always their number one fan. His legacy will live on within his children, who couldn’t forget his words and lessons if they tried. More than anything in the world, Brad loved his family and he couldn’t wait to be a grandpa. He will watch over as Morgan and Josh welcome Davis Bradley Redies in March, 2022. Brad’s Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at The Chapel Wadsworth Campus, 1391 State Rd., Wadsworth. Pastor Zac Derr, officiating.
