Calvin R. Nickol

Calvin R. Nickol, 67, passed away October 4, 2024.

Calvin was born in Akron and had been an area resident all his life. He retired from the Barberton City Schools as a custodian and attended St. Andrew the Episcopal Church in Barberton. He was a member of the Hungarian Club, an avid sports fan and a loving father and grandfather.

Preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Jane; he is survived by his son Lee; daughter Cassandra; granddaughter Blakelee; brothers George, Robert (Duna) and John (Linda); sisters Annette Nickol, Patti (Junior) Carte and Linda O’Neill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calvin’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Rod Grabski, officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
