Candace A. Savage, 71 of Barberton, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022. She was born on January 31, 1951 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to the late Anna R. and Eddie Wayne Franks. Candy was a loving and dedicated wife to her husband of 45 years, Bob; loving mother to her children Robert (Amanda) of Deanville, TX, Nick (Jenn) of Glenview, IL, Karen Echelberger (Jim Waickman) of Canal Fulton and Amanda (Tommy) Withem of Doylestown; a proud Oma to Mallory, Tommy, Max, Jack and Claire. She also leaves her sister Carol (Ted) Helton of Cuyahoga Falls; brother-in-law Bill (Chris) Savage of Canal Fulton; and many nieces and nephews. Candy graduated from Kenmore High School in 1969 and went on to earn a B.S. in Education from the University of Akron. After retiring as a school teacher, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her 5 grandchildren. She especially loved supporting them at numerous sporting events, including football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field and listening to many musical performances. She was their biggest fan! The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Care Center for their kindness and compassion. Candy’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Calling Hours Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic/Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
