Carl L. Boon

BARBERTON---Carl L. Boon, 66, passed away September 28, 2014.


Born in Bakersfield, CA Carl had been an area resident most of his life where he received his Masters Degree in Journalism from Ohio University. He worked at Barberton Hospital as the Director of Public Relations, Chase Bank as a bank manager and currently worked as a writer for the Barberton Herald. Carl loved fishing and was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan.


Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela M.; son Carl Jeffrey (Ebru) of Istanbul, Turkey; daughter Christine (Christopher) Cusimano of Fairlawn; grandchildren Salvatore Cusimano, Clara Boon and Trilby Cusimano; sister Carla (Phil) Unkefer; and brother Mahlon (Cindy) Nowland.



Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Per his wishes there will be no funeral service. Memorials may be made to the Barberton Public Library.
