Carol R. (Dies) Mckinnon

Carol R. McKinnon (nee Dies) (Bennett, Conrad), 72, passed away July 29, 2024.

She made God Laugh by telling him her plan.

Carol was preceded in death by parents Bill and Netta Dies and brother John. She is survived by cherished husband, Bill; children she is so proud of Dan (Sarah) and Katie; step-daughter; Laurie. Also survived by siblings, Ken (Carol), Fran (Dick), Peg (Jeff), Bob, Tina (Bill), David (Bridgett) and Steve (Kim). In-laws Carla and Tim (Beth); four grandkids and so many nieces and nephews she lost count at 125.

Carol was a proud graduate of St. V class of 70. She worked at Anthe’s, National City Bank and First Energy and worked the ticket booth for Ohio Youth Wrestling for many years.

Carol achieved membership in the Society of Double Digits with her 12lb walleye and is still smiling at the eight point buck she harvested out her bedroom window at 71 years old.

She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Prince of Peace, sang in the choir and kept her hands busy making prayer shawls for the sick. She had so many blue ribbons for sewing best in show and peach pie.

Carol’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Visitation will be ONE HOUR PRIOR  to the Mass AT THE CHURCH. Private Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Knights of Columbus #14111 at Prince of Peace, in Carol’s memory.
