Carol Mae Tibbs

Carol Mae Tibbs (nee Klever), 68, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born November 29, 1943 in Cleveland, daughter of the late William and Nelly Klever. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brother John and infant granddaughter Samantha. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law John and Barbara Tibbs of Akron, daughter Rebecca Brady and partner Larry Facemire of Burbank, son James Tibbs and partner Colleen Corcoran of Kent, son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Erlin Tibbs of Kent, and 11 grandchildren. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial was held at Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home in Barberton on Saturday. The family wishes to offer a special thanks to Select Specialty Hospital for their compassionate care in these last week. Additional thanks to the ICU nurses at Akron City Hospital. The family would also like to thank Dr. Jeffery Kile, the nurses and staff at South Central Family Physicians.
