Carolyn L. (Rinder) Petrie

Carolyn Rinder Petrie passed away Sunday, May 23,2021 at the Smithville-Western Nursing Home in Smithville, Ohio. Carolyn was born in Massillon, Ohio to Bud and Helen Rinder on June 13,1935. After graduation she moved to Louisville, Ky. where she met her first husband and had two sons. She later married her second husband, Anthony (Pete) Petrie. After Pete passed she moved to Creston, Ohio to be with her family and help her sister with their parents. She brought her beautiful voice to Creston, singing in church and starting a ministry with Rev. Fleury Spurlock. Her greatest joy was to bring peace to grieving families thru her singing. She blessed many with her God given talent. Preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and her sons father, Jim Pittelko, she is survived by her two sons, Jim Pittelko and Fred Pittelko, her sister, Paulette Dale and brother Bill Rinder. We know you are singing among the angels! Per her wishes Cremation has taken place and private Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
