Catherine Davis

BARBERTON---Catherine "Kate" Davis, 94, went home to join her loving husband on February 14, 2013.


Kate was born in Bardstown, KY to Martin and Alma Berach, moving to Barberton shortly thereafter. While proudly serving her country as a member of the Navy Waves during World War II, she met the love of her life and future husband Tom. She retired from the First National Bank after 18 years and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.


Preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas E. Sr.; she leaves her three sons Thomas (Beth), Ronald (Kim) and Paul (Barb); 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 A.M. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Monday morning at 9:15 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Augustine Endowment Trust Fund.
