Charlene A. Larsen

Oct 4, 1958 — Oct 2, 2026

Boynton Beach, FL

Charlene was a caring, kind, and passionate woman who made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. A good listener who was always willing to help, she had a special gift for being there when someone needed her. She could talk your ear off, and somehow, a long drive would feel like only a few minutes in her company.

Originally from Barberton, Ohio where she obtained a bachelors degree in teaching at Akron university, Charlene eventually moved to Florida, where she spent the rest of her life. She dedicated 30 years to teaching, making a difference in the lives of her students through her commitment and care.

Charlene’s Catholic faith was an important part of her life. She was an active member of St. Matthew Church, volunteering at numerous church functions and serving as Chairperson of the Legislation Committee for the Council of Catholic Women (CCW). She was deeply loved by her CCW Sisters, with whom she shared a special bond of faith and friendship.

Charlene shared more than 25 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Mario. Together, they enjoyed attending car shows and exploring new places. Charlene also loved going out for breakfast, visiting flea markets, shopping, and dining at restaurants. She had a special talent for finding a good discount and could always spot a bargain.

She especially loved the holidays, with Christmas holding a special place in her heart. Her favorite color was purple, a small but memorable detail that those who knew her will fondly remember.

Charlene treasured the memories made while traveling, including a 4 week family trip to Tijuana Mexico, the La Brea Tar Pits, Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, San Francisco, the Petrified Forest, and the Grand Canyon. These adventures became cherished stories and memories that her loved ones will carry with them.

Charlene leaves behind her brother, Keith Larsen; and her nephew, Kaden Larsen, along with all her friends, fellow church members, and former students whose lives she touched.

Charlene will be remembered for her kindness, generous heart, and passion for life. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories, whether through a long conversation, a shared meal, a shopping trip, or an adventure somewhere new. Her presence, friendship, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Though she is no longer here to share another conversation or make an ordinary day feel special, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
