Charles F. Herold

Charles F. Herold, 91, passed away November 22, 2022. Charlie was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Barberton and Mogadore Moose Lodges and the Hibernians Club. Charlie was also an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his son Bobby; daughter Mary; parents Joseph and Mary; brothers Robert, George and Paul; and sisters Patricia Herold and Dorothy Purdy; He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara; sons Charles S.; Patrick M. (Tracie), Daniel T. (Kathy) and John J. (Michelle); grandchildren Crystal (David) Burkhamer, Lindsay (Dave) Passarelli, Kady Herold, Tori (Garret) Richie, Robert (Kristen) Herold, Danny (Samantha) Herold and Geff Herold; great-grandchildren Destiny, Natalie, David, Leo Patrick, McKinna, Tanner, Savannah and Journie; brother James (Cathy) Herold; sisters Joan and Janet Herold; close family friend Connie Patton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
