Charles E. Hughes

BARBERTON---Charles E. Hughes Sr., 87, passed away August 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. Born in Lena, OH he had been a Barberton resident most of his life. Charles was a proud Army veteran having served during WWII. Preceded in death by loving wife Agnes; daughter Roxanne Legg; brothers Carl, Raymond and Joseph Jr.; survivors include sons Charles E. (Phyllis) Jr. and John C. (Michele); daughters Amy (Carl) Wise and Joanna Hughes and Don Higgins; son-in-law Fred Legg; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Clarence (Laurel), Robert, Jerry (Marie) and Roger (Karen); sisters Maryann (Geremi) Atrenza, Jane Gardner and Betty Davis; sister-in-law Mildred Hughes and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at the Hospice Care Center for their care of Charles. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 20, 2010, 8:00 P.M., at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Calling Hours 5-8 P.M. Inurnment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Please arrive at the cemetery chapel at 9:45.
