Charles R. Studenic

Charles R. Studenic, 84, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 after a four month long illness. Charles was born on August 19, 1939 to Joseph and Ann Studenic in Barberton. He went on to study Mechanical  Engineering and graduated from The University of Akron in 1962. After graduation Charles began and ended his professional career at P.P.G. Industries.

After retirement, Charles spent his time gardening, cheering on The Ohio State University, tinkering around the house and most importantly spending time with his friends and family. Charles never said no to a get together. He enjoyed summer cookouts, playing Canasta and Euchre and enjoying anyone’s company.

Charles was preceded in death by his son Mark; and parents Joseph and Ann; He is loved and remembered by his beloved wife Karen of 63 years; daughters Christy (Glen) Kaszubski and Laura (Bryan) Paumier; daughter-in-law Gaye Studenic; grandchildren Drew, Aaron and Sarah Studenic, Ian (Melisa) Kaszubski, Morgan (Kenton) Reason, Megan (Travis) Vance and Carly (David) Fergusson; his pride and joy great-grandchildren Brayden and Carson Vance; brother Richard (Patricia) Studenic; and his beloved grand-pets who he always had a treat for. Charles was also loved by many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Copley, OH 44321. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One of a Kind Pet Rescue, 1929 W. Market St., Akron 44313 or Guardian Angels Church and in the memo line put Scholarship Fund in memory of Charles Studenic.
