BARBERTON---Charlie Zamiska, 88, passed away May 6, 2014 at Manor Care of Barberton.
Born in Ellsworth, PA, Dad came to Barberton at age 17 and began a career as a pipe fitter at P.P.G. Industries. Following a four year service to our country with the U.S. Navy, he returned to Barberton. As a member of the "Greatest Generation.", he remained with P.P.G. for an unprecedented 42 years of service without missing a single day of work.
Preceded in death by his wife Doris; daughter Paula; son David; and grandsons Joshua Weigand and Patrick Kilroy; He is survived by his daughters Patricia Weigand and Christine (Mike) Kilroy; sons Joseph (Laura) and Chuck (Emily); nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
The family wishes to thank Manor Care of Barberton for taking such good care of our father.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
