BARBERTON---Constance M. Brankel (nee Schott), 71, passed away February 8, 2011 surrounded by her husband and children after a long period of declining health. She was born in Marietta and had been a Barberton resident most of her life. Connie was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Pearl Schott; stepmother Bernadette Schott; sisters Ruth Sausaman and Eileen Fisher. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Thomas; children Paul (Leslie) of Griffin, Georgia, Carolyn (Joseph) Young of Manchester, Christine (Bill) Savage of Canal Fulton, Margaret (Dave) Brown of Massillon and Julie Teal (friend Dan Podlogar) of Sterling; grandchildren Alexis Brankel, Alexander, Adam and Jocelyn Young, Drew Savage, Alan Pelfrey and Timmy, Donald and Kyle Teal; sisters Vera Fye of Clinton and Helen Iams of South Bend, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend our grateful appreciation to the entire staff of Pleasant View Health Care Center, friend Teri Berrens and caregivers of Summa Home Care, Summa Hospice and Summa House Calls for the exceptional care they provided to Connie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, 10 A.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at St. Clement Cemetery in Navarre. Calling Hours Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Saturday morning at 9:30 A.M.
