Daniel J. Giron

BARBERTON----Daniel J. Giron, 67, passed away March 7, 2010 at Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon. Daniel was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and worked at Babcock and Wilcox Co. and also Alltel Communications. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a Scout Master for Troop 3115. Daniel was also a proud Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by his brother Jody; Survivors include his loving wife Judith; son Timothy (Kim); daughter Danette (Jeff) Moriarty all of Arizona; stepson Michael (Michelle) Canfora of Massillon; grandchildren Cassie and Cali Giron and Megan, Melissa and Michael Canfora; brothers Michael and Patrick Giron both of Barberton; and sister Jackie Giron of Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6-9 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM.
