Deborah L. Wathey

Deborah “Debbie” L. Wathey, 60, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Debbie was born November 18, 1965 and grew up in Norton, Ohio most of her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She liked to spend her days tinkering and restoring furniture, walking barefoot in the grass, and enjoying nature as the true free spirit she was. Her laughter could fill a room and her smile would light it up.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, William & Maryann Keen and her in-laws, Ben & Dolores Wathey. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Ben; sister Michele (Kenny) Hatcher; children Darlene (Frank) Bodner, David (Crystal) Bodner and Brandon (Steph) Wathey; grandchildren Aaron, William (Stephanie), Joshua, Emily, Frankie, Scott, and Walter; and many more family members and friends.

Calling Hours for Debbie will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Per Debbie's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
