Donald J. Welker

Donald J. Welker, 86, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2012.


Born in Akron, he was the son of the late Hazel and Harold Welker. Don was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retiree of Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.


Preceded in death by his wife Mary; he is survived by his sister Patricia Heuer; nieces Krista (Bill) Bathori and their son Nicholas and Kara (Stephen) Macko and their children Hayden and Kennedy; brothers and sisters-in-laws; and many long time friends and neighbors.


A special thanks to Audrey, Amy and Emanuel for their loving care given to Don during the last few months.
