NORTON --- Donna R. Underation, 89, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025. She was born to the late Angelo and Edna Nuosce on July 20, 1935. Donna was a graduate of Central High School (Akron) where she was a majorette and the University of Akron where she enjoyed being a member of a sorority. She was employed for several years as a bank teller. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol, Wreath 103. Donna enjoyed reading and dancing. She also enjoyed watching musicals, plays and ice skating. She had a beautiful singing voice. She was faithful in attending all of the athletic and performance events of her grandkids. Donna dedicated her entire life to her family and she is adored and respected by all. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She was known by family and her many friends for her sweet spirit, kind heart, soft smile and a special love for children. Donna was a woman of faith; a woman of noble character. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her dearly loved grandson Michael Underation. She is survived by her husband of more than sixty-five years, Richard Underation, son Gregory Underation, son Michael (Karen) Underation, daughter Julie (Frank) Laury along with fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Donna will be always loved and missed by her family and many friends. Donna's Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. A Memorial Service to follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Jim Roma officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice or with the planting of a tree in her name.
