Edward R. Kozarevic

Edward R. Kozarevic, 84, passed away August 24, 2024. Ed was born in Barberton and was a life resident of the Barberton and Doylestown area. He retired as the Director of the Akron Bureau of Worker's Comp. Ed enjoyed trips to the casinos, his horses, his 1965 Bonneville Convertible and his Can-Am Motorcycle. He also loved traveling with his family and friends and fishing and hunting. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Claudia; sisters Josephine Hanic, Emma Young and Helen Klancar; and brothers Joseph, Bart and George. He is survived by his loving son Eddie (Tracy); brothers Frank Kozarevich and Tom Kozarevic; sister Dorothy Otto; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Shawnee Downs for taking care of Ed and being a close friend. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW., Barberton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
