Norton---Elaine Mae Cipar, 80, passed on November 14, 2011.
Born in Akron, she was a lifelong area resident. Elaine was a member of the former Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church where she belonged to St. Anne's and the Altar and Rosary Societies. She was a current member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and also was actively involved with the Norton Homemakers and a longtime poll worker and meals on wheels volunteer.
Preceded in death by her parents Burdette and Permelia; son Lawrence Eugene; brothers Norman, Art and Dale; and sister Barbara Anne Arvay. Elaine is survived by her husband, Paul Eugene; children, Kathleen (David) Thomas, Paul (Patricia), David (Dawn), Edward (Amy) and Christine (Robert). Grandchildren; Jeffrey and Nicholas Thomas; Michelle (Eric) Cameron; Paul Cipar II; David II , Nathan and Ashley Cipar; Brian and Abigail Cipar; and Great-Grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Evan and Jackson Cameron.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. James Maloney celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
