Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Smith went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Smith; her mother, Pauline Cannon-Smith; her father, Ralph Smith, her brother, Barry Smith

Betty is survived by her three children, Pam Smith, Kim Smith, and Terry Smith; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of joy and pride in her life.

Born and raised in Barberton, Ohio, Betty spent many years working at Davis Printing, where she later retired. In her younger years, she loved dancing and bowling, passions that reflected her joyful spirit. As her family grew, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her grandchildren—listening to music, dancing with them, and creating memories filled with laughter and love.

Betty had a deep and abiding faith and a strong love for her Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her life and brought her comfort and peace. When the time came, Jesus called her home, and she answered, with her family faithfully at her bedside.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Betty’s family will receive friends on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton from 9:30am-10:30am. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 11:15am.
