BARBERTON - Ernest L. Carr, 71, passed away March 3, 2015 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born in Gassaway, West Virginia he had been a Barberton resident most of his life where he retired from the Summit County Engineers Office after 33 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Freda; sister Nellie Jarvis; and brother Roy; Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years Joyce M. (nee Byrd); son Mark (Ashleigh) of Canal Fulton; granddaughter Audrey; and his dogs Roscoe and Duke. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
