BARBERTON---Evelyn M. Maxim, 89, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014 at Summa Barberton Hospital.
Born in Frostburg, Maryland Evelyn had been a Barberton resident most of her life where she was a member of the former S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and currently a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her husband Andrew; daughter Andrea Obraza; Survivors include her daughters Cheryl (John) Shuman of Canal Fulton, Marilyn Maxim of Barberton and Barbara (Jeffrey) Saylor of Wadsworth; son-in-law John Obraza of Wadsworth ; grandchildren John, Jaclyn and Timothy Shuman, Ryan (Christina) Obraza, Andrew (Amanda) Saylor, Kristin (Robert) Roark and Scott Saylor; great-grandchildren Jackson and Charlie Saylor and Grayson Roark; brother-in-law Donald Kyle; sister-in-law Helen Hagedorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff at Doylestown Health Care Center and the staff at Summa Barberton Hospital especially the Palliative Care Team.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Friday morning at 9:30 A.M.
