Frances Carol Geig passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1954 in Chattanooga Tennessee. She moved to Akron Ohio with her family as a child and later settled in Wooster where she and her husband have been residing for many years.
Frances was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a successful telemarketer for Infocision Management Corporation for several years where she was passionate about raising funds for World Wildlife Fund, American Heart Association, and other nonprofits. Her patience, kindness, and generosity to all was inspirational. Frances loved spending time with family, especially camping in Cambridge, family parties, watching birds and butterflies, spending time with her grandchildren, and everything about Elvis.
Frances is survived by her husband Joseph (Joe) Geig of nearly 33 years; her children, David Geig, Tina Carr (Gary), and Joe Geig (Elise); her six grandchildren and three great-children; her sisters, Vietta Armstrong, Erlita Lehman, Louise Stover, and Mary Spath as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Carson Melton and Helen Sayers, and her daughter, Shelly Miller (Robert Meitzer).
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for all the nurses and doctors at Wooster Community Hospital who compassionately cared for Frances during her final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Calling hours for Frances will be held One Hour Prior to the Mass, AT THE CHURCH. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice in Frances’s honor. She loved to give back.
