Frances A. Pelton

On Monday February 16th, 2026 Fran Pelton passed away suddenly after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Norton, generous and kind, Fran enjoyed gardening, bowling and playing cards with the "club girls". Her later activities included playing slot machines, watching Judge Judy and telling her daughters what to do.

As the cook at the Slovene Party Center for over 40 years, Fran was the ballroom manager and chef for numerous weddings, banquets and awards dinners. Her Slovene chicken and apple strudel were known throughout the area.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond "Popsie", she is survived by her daughters Janet (Rick) Jacobs and Lisa Pelton.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ray (Mia) Lowry, Meredith (Michael) Beeler, Diana (Adam) Cogar, Chris, Andrew, Ryan (Briana) Jacobs, Elizabeth (Shane) Gromley, James (Danielle) Helmick and her dear great-grand daughters Leighla, Grace, Frances, Stella, Eloise, Olivia and Mila as well as many other family members and close friends.

Per Fran's instructions Janet and Lisa are still looking for the whatchamacallit by the thing!

Fran's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the Mass At the Church.
