Frank Bradford “Brad” Iler

Brad graduated from Kenmore High School in 1958 where he met the love of his life, Virginia. They
have been married for 63 years and what a fun ride it has been with a lifetime of cherished
memories! He pursued his lifelong dream of being a college graduate and earned his degree by
attending night school while working full time at Babcox and Wilcox and raising two growing sons.
In 1990, he graduated Suma Cum Laude from Capital University with a bachelor’s degree. In April
2004 he retired from B&W with 45 years of service.
While Virginia was his first love, he also loved his 2 sons, John and Mike; his daughter-in- law
Amanda, his 3 grandchildren; Bailey, Spencer, and Andrew; his brother Pat, sister-in-law Lou and
their families. His 2 brothers-in-law, Ernie and Dick Ocepek and their families. He also leaves
behind beloved, lifelong friends of 65 years, Don Read, Bud Myers, Ed Ruff, and Tom Jones.
Brad was not one to mix words and was never afraid to say the things I was thinking. Another
passion was his love of golf and he was saddened when he could no longer play.
There will not be calling hours or a funeral as Brad has been cremated. In lieu of flowers please say a
prayer for him and our family. He had suffered for 2 ½ months from cancer and is finally at peace.
We send our love out to all that loved Brad.
