Frank E. Kaplinski

Frank E. Kaplinski, 92, of Barberton passed away 9/1/23.  Born 3/25/31 to Frank and Anna Kaplinski.  Frank was a Veteran of the Army.  He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Joan, and many loved family members.

He is survived by his children, Ron Kaplinski and Loretta VonGunten. Grandchild, Kristen Powers.  Great Grandchild, Nathan Powers. Sister, Clara Pokopac. Sister-in-law, Albina Golem.  Many nieces and nephews.

Frank was a staple in the Barberton area.  He was the owner of Frank's Body Shop for 42yrs. You could still find him working on cars up until he was almost 90. He was an avid sports fan.  Loving his Cleveland Guardians, Browns, and Ohio State Buckeyes.  He also spent many years on bowling and golf leagues. His one liners and clever wit will be truly missed.

Frank’s Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
