Frank L. Spetich Jr.

Frank Spetich Jr. 78 of Barberton sadly passed away August 7,2026 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Frank was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dog Toby. He also loved playing Polka music. He played with different bands and had his own band for over 60 years. He started his first band in 1966, where he played all over Ohio and Pa. He enjoyed putting smiles on people's faces with his music. . He was nominated for a Grammy in 1989 for Penn Ohio Polka Pals recording.

Frank is preceded in death by his mother Lily Valovcik, and father Frankie Spetich Sr. and in-laws Joan and Karl Lukitsch.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Colleen; daughter Kristen (Bobby) Herold of Massillon; son Keith Spetich of Canton; and granddaughter Maddy Spetich. He is also survived by his sons Frank (Kim) Spetich of Virginia and Scott (Rhonda) Spetich of Florida and grandson Tyler Spetich of Florida. Frank also leaves his sister Judy (Patrick) Pramik of Barberton; brother Michael (Debbie) Spetich of Canton; brother-in-law Karl (Julie) Lukitsch of Florida; sisters-in-law Karen (Jim) Ferguson of Pittsburgh, Joni (Bob) Zolka of Youngstown, and Janet (Philip) Palmieri of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Frank's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley. Fr. Christopher Weber, celebrant. Calling Hours are Wednesday, August 12th from 5-8 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
