Frederick A. Wilhelm

Frederick Wilhelm passed away on January 27, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Fred was born on July 16, 1952 and grew up in Norton.  He was a machinist by trade and was passionate about his job and took pride in his work. Fred always loved playing baseball and then softball with many traveling teams after he graduated from high school, he was an above average bowler and had a passion for motorcycles whether it be building them or riding them. Fred had a very kind and gentle heart!  Spending time with the people he loved is what meant the most to him. Fred was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Virginia Wilhelm. He leaves behind his wife, Sandy, daughter Jennifer (Rich) Balas, Step-daughter Holly Smith, sister Barb, brother Ed (Karen), and many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
