Gloria J. (Jones) Plucinski

BARBERTON---Gloria J. Plucinski (nee Jones), 58, passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and a graduate of Barberton High School Class of 1977 and also a graduate of the University of Akron majoring in history. Preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Michael; parents Pate and Loretta Jones; in-laws Clarence and Rosemary Plucinski; and her Scottish Terrier Rudi who too lost his battle to cancer this past fall. Survivors include her son Christopher of Barberton; daughter Heather (Aaron Cole) of Bath Township; Uncle Max Hughes of Atlanta, GA; along with other loved family members and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Laurie Matt-Amaral and the staff at Cleveland Clinic Akron General floor 5400 and the staff at the Hospice Care Center. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M.
