Gloria Ann Stevens

BARBERTON---Gloria Ann Stevens (nee Ferko), 73, passed away February 18, 2014 at Summa Barberton Hospital.


Gloria was born in Akron and was a life resident of Barberton where she retired from Barberton City School System after 20 years as a food service employee. She also attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church.


Preceded in death by her parents John and Bernice Ferko; and sister Jacqueline Harwell; Survivors include her daughters Robin Dow of South Carolina, Debbi (James) McLaughlin of Oklahoma, Terri Aldecoa of Louisiana and Danielle Barnes of Norton; grandchildren Jason McLaughlin, Dr. Samantha Harmon, Zachary, Julia, Quinton, Christian and Abigail Aldecoa and Aiden and Emma Barnes great-granddaughter Jaclyn Harmon; and brother John David Ferko of Norton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to the Mass all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Lupus Foundation.
